Getting our toes ready for spring

We all get pedicures this week as one of our spring break activities.

It's been snowing all week!

This is an unusual week for Portland. Its been snowing every morning. It doesn't stay on the ground for long but it has been beautiful.

Here is a photo of our front yard at our new house. We are going to be moving April 15th! Yeah....

Tulip Fields

Last Saturday we went to the tulip fields about 40 minutes drive from Portland, in Woodburn, OR. http://www.woodenshoe.com/ Beautiful day, but it was still a bit early for the full bloom. We will visit again in a few weeks.

The Girls Created a Masterpiece

Last week we visited My Masterpiece Art Studio. http://www.mymasterpieceartstudio.com/ The got to do the "Sampler Package". For only $10 they got to create something with clay, paint a large picture with acrylic paint, use the pastels on black paper and trace on the light box. They had great time with their friends Amanda, Ella, Brynlie (sp?) and Rylan. See photo.....

Holly's First Play

Holly performed in her first play today. Tom and I are both surprised by how much she liked the entire experience. We asked her if she was nervous and she said ,no. All the more reason to be supportive. It's a great skill to have. They also got to perform a dance and do a short solo song.

I told her that her friends Zoey and Amanda may not be doing the next show. She didn't care she wanted to sign up!

Holly's First Play

Holly starred in her first play today, as one of the Ugly Step Sister's in an adaptation of Cinderella.


She was very good. She spoke her lines loud and clearly, and on cue too. She wants to sign up for the next acting class, even though her friends will not be in it this time. I think she has the acting bug....

Spring is arriving at our new house

Daffodils are coming up all over Portland. They are almost like a spring weed. Even the most neglected gardens and roadside paths have daffodils.
